In the year 2006 I resolve to: Live like it’s on purpose |
Ok, so it’s kind of trite and overused, the whole “New Year Resolution” thing, but since I never make them, and I don’t take them very seriously, I figured, “What the hell?”
I’ve spent the last couple years practicing at being a person, waiting to rejoin the human race. So, the starting gun has gone off and I’m back at it. There are a million things a day that run through my head on what I need to be doing, but I think this little phrase sums it up pretty succinctly.
If you really make each decision and use each second with purpose, with the conscious realization that it does matter, then you can’t go wrong. You can’t stray far from your path if you keep your purpose in mind.
So, for fear of writing a huge ass entry when I should really be working, I’ll leave it at that. Hooray for resolutions!

What is your purpose? Seems to be ‘becoming a person’. So each activity, each decision to act is made in terms of becoming a person. What does that mean? What makes a person? When will you get there? When can you say, “finished”? How can you know your direction is correct?
I’ve never had a new year’s resolution..hehe and I resolve to keep it that way!
and also, taproot has a song, Birthday, that made me stop for a second today and realize that life is best when you live it to it’s fullest. If today was my last day to see this person, or do this one thing, or say what I was really thinking, that stuff, you know.. I would do it. I don’t live life like that. ..I should.
