Someone made mention to me recently, that I am brave to put my life out in public view. Fact is, I don’t. The truly astute observer will notice that there are password protected entries on the site. There are also a great many invisible entries that no one sees.
There is a lot of commentary and thought and journal and allusion that goes on here, but the real stuff, the true magic, the magic that is my presence, is reserved for a few people. The ‘deep conversations’, the evenings behind closed doors or in a strange town making memories… those are for a precious, precious few.
Enjoy the reading, everyone, and I love the comments so even if you don’t know who the hell I am, please leave one. But never make the mistake of thinking that reading everything here can compare to the spells that are woven in my presence.
I’m paraphrasing here, from a thought i heard once…
Privacy isn’t something that is determined by the internet. It has no fair market value. Real privacy is found in our relationships. True privacy allows us to share hopes, dreams, fantasies, fears; lets us know that we can safely expose all our faults and quirks to others and still be loved. Privacy is the place between us and our dearest – the place where everything is known and where it doesn’t matter.
I couldn’t have stated it better than when you said “never make the mistake of thinking that reading everything here can compare with the spells that are woven in my presence.” Some might think it an arrogant and empty statement (it is a bit arrogant). But, that’s only because they haven’t had the pleasure of being “spelled” by you. I have long admired the phenomenon of your (physical) presence. The quote at the end isn’t bad either.
right on.
Good to hear from you guys. Jazz, that means alot coming form a fellow spellcaster.
Amy, I bet that took a long time to write. thanks for taking the time out of your hectic schedule to share your thoughts.
=O You mean you DON’T make every single detail of your private (and yes, I do use that word ironically here) life public for our amusement?? I am so disappointed.
As for the spell casting, a bit of humility goes a long way to keep you from being burnt at the stake ;p
