Such fun today. Success and Hijinks in the workplace.

We have a somewhat regimented approval process for changes to the company infrastructure. Not to say that our programmers have to ever test any code they write; far from it. I do need to get the approval of a couple commitees for any of my designs before I can get to work on them.

So today I recieved approval to start on a couple new projects I designed. A few people fought me on some things, but now that’s over with I can get on with the show.

Also, got funding for my bike today! So now the motorcycle hunts resumes in earnest. There are a bunch of nice options out there, but nothing perfect yet, so I endure.

In the realm of hijinks, double sided tape is still the winner.

I glued a teacup and cel phone down with double sided tape to a girls desk at work today. Comedy Gold if you ask… well, anyone but her. A broken cel phone and a stained blouse later, I was laughing hysterically while being pummeled with paperclips, staplers and verbal abuse.

Aside from a mildly dissapointing experience with a non-Nordic named “Furry Hammer” and still feeling a little under the weather from ‘Cinco de Moustache’ last weekend, I’m having a fantastic day.

Talked to Jaki a while ago and got her to commit to meet up with me in the Whitsundays Islands this winter for the scuba and surfing trip that Will and I are undertaking. Getting closer to the interview date for going to Japan, and I get more excited with each minute.

Having some problems figuring out where to sleep once i get to Pamplona, as all the hostels are charging a significanlt increased nightly charge. This rounds out to anywhere between $200 and $500 a night. Although from all that I have read and heard from people who have been there, many attendees wind up sleeping in the park.

I think that’s an acceptable compromise. I could send alot of presents home for $1000. And I could drink alot of Sangria for $1000.

Ah, such fun. I’m liking today. Maybe I should go out and share my good mood with people.
