All right. Apparently in the Proctor Family it is a custom on a person’s birthday, to fill them in on all the things you like about them. In keeping with this tradition, I’m putting an entry up here for Emily and the world to see just how cool I think she is. Anyone else who feels the need, go ahead and email her.
Emily, I’m pretty sure that you know you are hotness, so we can just skip right over that. Except for how you look in a good pair of blue jeans. Yowza!
I suppose I’ll start with the biggest one. Your ability to see things in people that they fail to see in themselves. Everyone you talk to, you treat as a friend, because you have this innate ability to see the best in them. Regardless of our faults and shortcomings, you still treat all of us with all the regard of a dignitary. I have a hard time seeing anything in your choice of ‘puppies’ but apparently there is some good there or you wouldn’t be wasting your time. Good on ya!
Your willingness to give to other people is exemplary. I can’t count the number of gifts my sister has received from you. You are always willing to give me your time when I need it. You rock.
I suppose the last thing that I really think shines about you, is your ability to remember the things that are important to others. Rarely do I get a chance to speak with you that you don’t ask about things that are going on in my life. I appreciate the fact that you were concerned over my visit to my grandparents, most recently.
The people that surround you do so because they see as much good in you as you do in them. There are alot of great things ahead of you. March 21st is just another day on the calendar for alot of the world, but for the people whose hearts and lives you have touched, it is the day we all get to show you how glad we are that you came into our lives. Thanks, Em; and Happy Birthday!
